Vista Windows.old question

Is anybody else having problems with deleting the Windows.old folder that a clean install of Windows Vista leaves behind? I can cut/paste, and rename the folder, but if I try to delete it, I get an error message that says the folder is no longer located at C:\.

Yep. You need to use disk cleanup (click start, type disk cleanup). I think you need to select the option for files for all users on the computer. At the bottom of the files to delete list, there should be an option for previous OS or something (I don't have a Windows.old directory, so this is from memory).

Yeah.

The first thing I did was I just tried to delete the folder normally.
It deleted most everything, but there was an error, but I don't remember the exact error.

Now the folder is there, and a few sub folders. Each of the folders are empty, but I can't delete them. The wierd thing is I can rename it, or cut and paste it elsewhere, but I just can't delete it.
