Vista Windows Explorer...

I just installed Vista on a new build to tide me over until an official 7 release. However, it seems to have some odd behavior with windows (Windows Explorer, specifically). It doesnt remember the location or size when i reopen the window. This usually happens once per boot, but it seems silly to remove this feature. Any ideas whats going on?

Edit: I also have this problem where BitTorrent installed DNA in my root user directory. That is, C:\Users\Homer\Program Files (x86)\DNA. Whats up with that? If i try to delete it it tells *me* that i need permission to do this.

Regarding your size/location issue - I have the same problem with the file view on folders.

I always, always change it to list view but for whatever reason it often comes up differently each time. Drives me bonkers. Was looking to see if I could just universally apply the list view to any file view for anything in vista but I was not able to find it.

Open the Windows Explorer, click "Organize" in the menu bar across the top and select Folder and Search Options then go to the "View" tab and use the "Apply to Folders" button to apply the current view to all folders of that type.

I assume this long description is equivalent to the tools->folder options->view->"apply to all folders" path. It doesnt work. This has been a feature since win95 (?), but is broken in Vista. Shouldnt things like this be taken care of with a basic regression test?

"it is not broken, it is feature", unfortunately it seems that vista overrides this setting if your folder has images, mp3s or videos. f*** them, i want to see all folders exactly the same.
