How come on this website is it 130 dollars cheaper than buying at a store...just wondering...

http://www.viosoftware.com/Win...utm_campaign=66R-00002
$266.99 before shipping FULL version not OEM or upgrade(free ground shipping available though)

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...=All+Categories&ks=960
$259.99 for UPGRADE and $ 399.99 for FULL version neither one oem.

just seems stupid...

EDIT: I got both of these links from the official "Windows Marketplace"... So I suspect that the cheaper one is not a rip off/fake...

they seem to have some great software prices, and if they are from the windows marketplace (and sell msdn licenses) then they are most likely legitimate.

Hmmmm....strange. VioSoftware's Retail-package Vista seems to be a bit lower than the rest of the industry. Resellerratings.com shows some of the hightest ratings I've ever seen for an e-tailer. Personally, I've never heard of them. It seems legitmate.....Free shipping, too.

As for BestBuy...I wouldn't buy anything there if it wasn't on sale.

I pulled the trigger for the following but instead i did over night shipping. So Vista Ultimate full version shipped overnight for US$291.98...

I should get it tomorrow. Its still 100 dollars cheaper than walking into any retail store in my area and buying after over night shipping...

Will do!, also the price dropped since yesterday 2 dollars, its 264.98, if they update their prices that often it could be a good thing...

Just as a FYI as far as customer service goes,

I entered in the wrong address (i am moving) when they were verifying my credit card information. I immediately got an e-mail from them letting me know that and they gave a phone # with an ext # for me to call to correct it. I called and spoke with the CSR and he corrected it and sent it through and said if they had any further issues they would call me.

Didn't have to go through an automated line or anything, just prompted me for an ext # when i called.

I received my copy of ultimate CLEARLY opened. I have not had a chance to call them back yet to ask them why. But it was not an upgrade or OEM version...I'll post what happens when I get a hold of them.
