Alright, down to business. I have a 500GB HD. It has 2 partitions...one is 100GB (C) and the other is 400GB (D). I put Vista Ultimate on C and use D for storage. I realized that I don't need 100GB for Vista Ultimate and shrank it by 10GB. I'm trying to reallocate that 10GB of space onto D but it won't let me. However, It allows me to reallocate it to C. Is there a way that I can take the 10GB and extend D using it? Thanks for reading!

BTW: I tried using Disk Management and diskpart.exe

I haven't personally the vista partition tools for resizing, but by the sound of it it will only allow you to add it to the end of the partition which means you would have to shrink c: -> move d: down in the free space then grow d: to add the additional space

May have to use a 3rd party partitioning tool to do it. like acronis disk director or gparted.sourcefourge.net
