Vista SP1

I bought my computer with the regular vista already installed a year ago.

Im a complete newb so i have no idea what downlaoding it will do.

Questions:

Will SP1 clear my disk and do a fresh install?

Will i lose any of my already installed programs?

Will i lose performance?
