After a month with Vista Business 64-bit, I'm about to go back to XP and sacrifice a portion of my 4GB of RAM, unless I can at least fix this:
When I hit "Sleep," Vista usually does as it is told. Within 2 seconds, the monitor, fans, hard drives, and PSU will shut off and the case's power LED will begin to blink.
About 1/5 times, though, the monitor and hard drives turn off, but the rest of the computer does not. The power LED stays solid and nothing happens. If I leave the computer and come back in the morning, I find that it has eventually restarted. According the system log, a "Code 41" error occurs about 5 minutes after I leave my office, which leads Vista to reboot.
I'm not alone in this problem. It's all over Google. However, I've found no solutions.
