Probably, but I don't know for sure. I did an upgrade from RC1 to 5728, but I decided to create a new partition and do a clean install for RC2. My RC2 install seems a lot faster than even 5728 did, so unless they did a major performance overhaul in the space of 2-3 weeks, I'm assuming it's because I did a fresh install on an empty partition (along with the normal optimizations that would have been made since the last build). Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that while you can probably do an in-place upgrade, I'd tend to recommend against it. The RC1->5728 upgrade took over an hour on my computer, compared to RC2 which clean-installed in 25 minutes from start to fully installed (usable desktop).
Also, about my earlier post about Creative's drivers not working...I don't know what I did, but they seem to work now (at least as well as they did in RC1/5728 anyway). Still have to disable the driver integrity check at every boot though if you're on x64.
