Vista RAM question

It's not correct. On my laptop, running Vista Business (Aero on - from MSDNAA), Firefox open with a couple tabs, AIM open, McAfee Enterprise, AnyDVD, Daemon Tools, and WinTV Scheduler running on top of any Windows stuff and I'm at 54% with 1GB of ram and no ReadyBoost device on.

What software are you running?

Do you have a lot of processes running? Check your msconfig to see what's running in the background when you startup.

I presume he is talking about what Vista displays in the task manager. It specifically states: Physical Memory: xx% next to Processes and CPU Usage along the bottom.

If you just installed vista then its correct. It indexes the living crap out of your computer for a while (its worth it). It should go away. if it doesn't, check for virus scanning programs, etc.
