Vista install

Hi ya'll,

My friend is having a problem with vista installation on his computer. He has:

Athlon 64 X2 4000+
2gb ddr2 667 ram
8800gt
250gb sata hdd
m2n-e sli nforce 570 mobo
dvd-rw drive

WHEN hes about to select a hard drive to install the os onto, the setup requests that drivers for the disk drive aren't found and then doersnt allow any further.

Moved to Operating Systems.

Video Mod BFG10K.

Now that it is in the right forum - is the HDD formatted and made active?

Check that the HDD jumper is set properly (sata 1 or 2), and check that RAID is not enabled in the BIOS.

If the problem persists then check that the HDD is recognized in a working computer to verify it works.
