I been googling this all over but can't seem to find the solution...
Problem:
My vista won't open any of the URL links from autoplay or any of the game menus.
(ie. Lord of the ring online launcher links to account/support gives me this error
"URL:HyperTextTransferProtocol not associated with "open" function for your web browser")
attempted fixes > file association doesn't have properties like "open" in vista, unlike winxp. It is correctly assocated internet explorer with .url however. i can't tell if vista won't open links due to security reasons or vista doesn't have option to assocate file property and thus call the command "open"?
UAC (Vista User Access Control) disabling. = didn't change
and IE "protected mode" disabling = didn't change
any help will appreciated even if there are some reg keys, i'll appreciate it.
