Anyone get a date that the "Video" agreed with? I put November 30, 2006, and they said that it was way too early, but then on December 1 they said they could build a pyramid by then... weird.
 
I got it by email invite, and it's open to anyone who signs up with Microsoft. I clicked a dozen dates and found they are playing games. Just pick a date and hope for the best I guess. I wish they would let me download beta 12...
 
All I can say is that if I win, I will be ebaying it. Vista is teh useless. They took out all the best features and are putting in gestapo crap like DRM, such as making it impossible to play retail HD movies on any monitor without HDCP (which is zero CRT and almost none of the LCDs), at least if you want to see it in glorious HD (it will still output in 480p, useless).

But thanks for the heads up. Maybe I could ebay the whole launch experiance thing with the tickets and all. I'm sure someone would pay for it lol.

Seriously, who would want a trip to a Microsoft Launch event over an Xbox 360...
 
Good thing I have an inside line on the date...that remote viewing training is going to pay off big! 😉

P.S. - Threw out my shot in the dark; here's hoping that I get an xbox360 in the mail come December 2006. 🙂
