vista gadgets - any security problems?

I downloaded a gadget from MS's gadget website, it was the first time i've installed a gadget, just wondering is there potential for viruses/malware to be installed along with a gadget downloaded from MS website?

FYI, it was an XM internet radio gadget, it looks and works great!

there is a very minimal potential but if it's directly from microsoft i'd say it's Highly unlikely!!!

even though on the MS website, these gadgets are not necessarily authored by them. The XM one is listed under MS certified though

not the case in vista iirc, but in win7 the sidebar doesnt work without UAC turned on so would imagine it's rights are quite limited
