No fix for that, that error indicates file corruption on the install disc. You might have to download it again. This has been covered in another thread.
After the download you need to verify the checksum prior to burning it onto disc. It is also recommended to burn at a very slow speed and then verify again.
Some people have had to download it a few times to get a good copy.

hi jba,

i had the same problem. u dont have to redownload or anything like that. just use a different program for burning the iso.

i first used nero and had that error (both of my version x64 and x86), then reburned with roxio. worked like a charm.

I used Nero to burn mine and didn't have a problem but what the hell, it's worth a try I guess. In any case my original statement stands "file corruption on the install disc".

I had to make 4 downloads to capture a decent ISO, never did get a valid 64x

I burned 6 DVD's before I got a ISO that would fully load & start.

You have to chose the Data Back-up in the Nero, ISO Image & slow it to the slowest speed it offers.

Even then, I had 20 tries before it would install without BSOD-ing or crashing on startup.

I tried Boot to new HDD
I tried starting in XP & running to 'F-Drive' (40GB partition on separate, blank HDD)
I tried installing in 'Safe-Mode'
I tried installing by Boot & selecting destination.
I tried 'Fresh Install to F-Drive'
I tried 'Update System'

It finally installed in a 'Boot From CD & Select Destination - F-Drive',
but was crashy until getting drivers rolled up & installed. (20th attempt)
An earlier attempt (either 14 or 16) has installed but wouldn't run for
more than 5 minutes before terminating to the BSOD & freezing there.

Now when the disc I ordered shows up, I am not sure of whether to keep what I have going, or start over fresh.

I have now found messages posted on other Vista-related Web sites indicating that this particular error message stems from a problem arising in Vista installations onto machines with multiple SATA hard drives (I have two 300GB drives on my rig). I'm going to order the DVD just in case my image disc is the culprit, but I suspect Vista Beta just isn't the thing for me (yet!). I know it's a beta, but it is somewhat pathetic if it turns out to be true that Microsoft can't yet run Vista on multi-SATA machines.
