Can I use an external monitor with Vista Basic on a laptop? The Microsoft website says I have to move up to Home Premium to use the external monitor. I am in the market for a laptop and need to decide. Or is it just if you want to use both your laptop screen AND the external monitor as dual monitor setup where Home Premium is needed?
