Ok, so I received my free copy of Vista from Microsoft yesterday, YEA!!
So I install drivers and such, among these Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0 and GomezPeer. (If you want the download link I can provide one)
Anyways, I startup GomezPeer and windows gives me a nice little message.

Well I may have JRE 1.6.0 installed but GomezPeer uses an older java (j2se 1.4.2) it keeps in it's own folder. So I figured I'd at least try to copy the new java stuff over the old stuff gomez was using before posting for ideas on a fix. I already sent an e-mail to Gomez asking them if they will be updating their client, no I haven't heard back yet. I tried to run it as a service but that didn't seem to work, it wouldn't connect to the internet which defeats the reason to run it.
So I in summery, can this windows auto changing to aero basic when an incompatible program is running be bypassed? If not can some smart person look at the gomez stuff it installs and see if a quick fix is possible? Pretty please with a possible cherry on top.
