ive been waiting for best buy to restock so i can finally get one of these ipod touch. i wanted to go ahead and download the new itunes program but it said that it only supported xp and 32bit versions of vista. wtf what about 64bit i did some research and i found that theres some problem with the installation of the program, and the fact that there is no 64bit driver for the iphone, so would that include the ipod touch? does anyone else know whats going on here and is there a fix for this? plus the only articles ive seen is from when the last version of itunes came out in july.

I had the same problem with the iphone and connecting to vista 64 (i had bought it on release date so no one was aware of the problem). From what I read at the Apple forums, the iphone will not be detected in vista 64 no matter how much you try. I ended up using my 32 bit computer to activate/sync the phone.

Not sure if it's the same with the Touch

I also had the same problem with my iPhone. I just used my laptop running XP for iTunes sync.
