When I try to install vista 64 premium from a DVD on my new computer, I get two error messages. The first tells me I am missing a required cd/dvd drive driver, and I think I have solved that by downloading the IDE driver from the iTE.com.tw website onto my USB flash drive (I don't have a floppy drive). Immediately after that driver installs comes the message, ?No new devices could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media." I assume this means I need a 64 bit driver for my SATA hdd, but I cannot find one a n y w h e r e. None of those I downloaded to my USB worked, and most of them (the Gigabyte site, motherboard cd and Intel site) I could never use because they are .exe, so wouldn't I need the OS installed to use them? Where can I find a preinstall vista 64 SATA driver compatible with my chipset/hdd that will work off my USB, or is there another way around this problem? Thanks.
