We are thinking of visiting Hot Springs National Park (Arkansas) and nearby areas last week of November. Do you think it would be decent enough weather - as in not too cold, rainy etc. I’ve tried to google this but first hand info is better! Thanks!

I think you should spend your money someplace OTHER THAN in a dog$hit former-confederate state personally but that's just me.

Weather sites list the actuals of prior years weather and also give you a historical avg daily high/low.

Plenty of nice, decent and intelligent people in the southern states.... they're just in the minority! (and Bill Clinton wasn't one of them even if I did vote for him!)

;)

Coincidentally we will be there a week before you, returning on a driving trip from NY back home. It is one of those natural treasures on my list.

I was at HSNP a few years ago. It's not a bad park, but having visited most of them, it's the one park that I have no desire to revisit. It simply doesn't have that magic "whatever it is" that I love about all the other parks.

Thanks Ned. When will we see you way out west again?

I was just out there about 3 weeks ago. Mrs Ned & I own a place right outside Grand Teton NP in Idaho, so expect to see lots of us. What time is dinner?

It's a long haul from Grand Teton to Mt. Rainier. Better pack a lunch!
Lemme know before you head this way and I can do some shopping.
When we drove up from Jackson, presumably towards your property up Jackson Pass highway, I noted the runaway truck ramp on the North side of the road and the fact that the truck would have to cross my lane of traffic head-on to get there. That's a bit sobering :)
