Visiontek Ti4200

Should a person even consider Visiontek? Didnt they go under? If I got this card and it died they wouldnt RMA it would they?

How are these cards?

I've been using one of their GF4 Ti 4200 128MB cards since last July and it is a sweet card. I feel that this card will be running swiftly for a long time to come (even with the heavy o/c I have subjected it to).

If you can get the card at a nice discount I'd say go for it. And I've heard that you should still be able to get RMA support as VisionTek didn't die, they just jumped GPU ships.

DONT! The were just bankrupt, who knows how long they will be in business. Try one from MSI or Asus.

I have this card and i use it under heavy o/c too, Its a good card 😀
but you wouldn't be able to RMA......

Visiontek is alive and well and never went out of business, they just jumped ship from Nvidia to ATi (and I think HardOCP, who spread the false rumor about Visiontek, is on the take from Nvidia).
I have a Ti4200 128MB that I got on the BB deal last summer (probably the same as SeekingTao 🙂 ), and it's a great card (especially for the money).
Anyway, I contacted Visiontek about this issue, and rebates, RMA's, and warranties are still being honored. Rumors otherwise are pure bullsh!t.
