maybe farther than stock... though likely not Ti500 speeds
but in the end it does not matter.. the memory is what matters most... overclock that and leave the core at stock if you really want useful improvements.

Possibly but it all depends on the memory. Although visiontek ti200s are known to have good memory :) Pushing the core without pushing the memory doesnt yield very astonishing marks.

the reason i bought it is because of everyone saying how the visiontek was able to o'c to ti500 speeds.....so would i need to get some other cooler thing or what?

I think you can OC it to ti500 speeds with stock cooling if the card is capable of doing it. The orb would probably help though and it would keep it much cooler. Either the card can clock that high or it can't, all depends on the card.

Best o/c'ers are gainward... mine's outfitted with a CRYSTAL orb and a sunon 80mm fan mounted horizontally over the card. Clocks beyond ti500 to a sweet 245/560

I've heard that you want to maintain a certain core-to-memory clock ratio to yield maximum performance. Not sure, maybe.

I notice large benchmark score increases on both the memory and core overclocks. My crystal orb should be here either today or tomorrow....I might be able to hold 233 steady then. Right now, it works for one or two runs through 3DMark, then crashes, so I think it's heat. The memory does fine very high. I've done as high as 530 without a crash (535 is fubar), but I won't keep it that high. I think I'll keep it at 520 for benchmarking, 500 for all other times, and with my ORB, I'll do 233 for benchmarking, 220 for all other times.

220/500 for constant use isn't a ti500, but it's damn close.
