Visiontek Ti200 or PNY Ti200 - which one is better?

I am buying a Ti200 on Friday and I have narrowed it down to those two cards. Isn't the memory faster in the PNY card? Which one should I buy?

How about posting links to both? 😉

I would read some reviews online instead of asking here. Google.com, just type in the brand and model number.

I'd get the PNY because it is supposed to come with 4ns memory, the Visiontek comes with 5ns, and you'd be able to OC it higher.

pny's card looks better... black pcb with silver hsf and ramsinks. 🙂 and it also comes with dvi-out which the visiontek doesn't have.

Anyone know which is the best card bar none?

For ram speed specifically (I'd like to acheive 500mhz ram speed, - hard ocp managed it with 5ns chips????????????????????)

Also any ti 200's come with dvi, or they all just standard and tv out?

I have the PNY geforce3 ti/200. It's a great card, but NOT, I repeat, NOT 4ns ram like newegg says. Officially it is 5ns and PNY says you can get it up to 4ns speeds or whatever. The fastest i can get my ram to overclock to is 460mhz and 225 mhz gpu, so that's nowhere near 4ns ram speeds. the visiontek, if i remember correctly, is 4.5ns ram, so you should get better speeds off the visiontek. The PNY is a great card and well worth my 175 with freeshipping. My recommendation is get whichever is cheaper, which is probably the PNY. can't go wrong with either. But Visiontek does overclock very well, so it's up to you.

Oh yea, the PNY comes with DVI outputs and svideo outs. I haven't used either, so i can't tell you how good either of them are.

DAMN! 🙁 thanks for reminding me!

I forgot I MUST have a card with RCA tv out, not svideo (or both is fine)
Whoops.

4/1000 = 250mhz
You are not getting 4ns speeds no

No problem, but if you need RCAs, the PNY doesn't offer. But it's a great card other than that...Good luck finding a suitable card. It took me along time to settle on the geforce3 ti/200...good stuff

can't you just get one with S-Video and buy the converter cable. Isn't this how most video cards do it. I'm might be wrong but I haven't seen many cards with actual composite output built onto the card. Unless its ATI or something.

they are pretty cheap and I think they come with the video card in some instances if you buy retail. My viper v330 also has a composite and s-video out built onto it. But on the geforce chipset I haven't personally seen composite out, unless you buy some kind of VIVO card that does video editing.

Well if the cable exists that's great - solves that problem, thx.

Now for a cheap card with 4.0ns or faster ram at a nice price AND available in Australia
