Visiontek Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 $231.99

It isn't that hot, because the card is still selling for more than it should be ( and more than the MSRP as listed in the initial reviews), but it is the best price I have seen recently.

The 3870 is a good alternative card to the 8800GT. It doesn't perform quite as well in a number of instances, but it is very close. Additionally, it consumes less power when idle than the alternatives.

I recently received an emailed coupon from Dell for $25.00 off, which made this a better deal, but I don't know how many of those codes they mailed out, or what criteria they used for the mailing.

Usually ships 1 - 2 wks. Yeah, it said that when I ordered it ... on 11/26/07. If you're willing to play the waiting game, it isn't a bad deal. Sad part is, you may be able to find it cheaper by the time they actually ship it. They tell me by the 18th ... not holding my breath. I'll cancel as soon as I find a similiar deal that actually has it in stock at a similiar price. Will that happen??? We'll see.

Dell? lol

Dammit DELL delayed my order twice now. Supposedly going to now ship on the 27th. This has to be the worst service I ever received from a company.

On this latest delay you have to confirm that you approve of the shipping delay too and the office of course closes early and there is no way to confirm on the website like it says you can and you can e-mail dell but you get no confirmation from the e-mail sent. Lousy for such a large company you would think they would have thier act together.

Needless to say if it wasnt for the PAYPAL 20% promo which is probably what they are trying to weasel out of somehow. I wouldnt be surprised if this was Dell screwing AMD all over again like they did with the huge cpu orders or if this is AMD not allowing Dell to suck up the inventory and screwing AMD again.

Either way I am not shopping with Dell and if my order doesnt ship soon it looks like I will order HP equipment when my budget renews in January. Screwing me $50.00 Dell will cost you significantly more when I propose we go with HP this time around especially since my buddy's order is delayed also thats 2 of the 3 votes.

What are you talking about? Click the link in the email then follow the link from the dell site. You put in our name and phone number and ok the delay. I know cause I did it myself earlier today.
