Visiontek mad again?

Are any Visiontek Radeons available anywhere yet?

Visiontek was my favorite graphics card maker. I doubt I'd hesitate to buy their stuff in the future.

They have a rep for using the cheapest fans. My old Ti200's fan died, so did my friend Jason's and so did my friend Mike's. They sent us all new ones but Jason's is failing again. Wouldn't touch their crap with a ten foot pole.

I can only imagine calling their tech support and instead of "How may I help you?" hear something like "What up, yo! What's cooking?" 🙂

Somehow the last part doesn't give me that warm and fuzzy feeling either:

This product comes with a lifetime warranty,
and toll-free tek-support

"tek" ? That's real professional

Ever have TWO MONITORS at one time? Throw in DVD support and you have yourself a threesome.

All this time and effort trying to convince the girlfriend and all I needed was a 9500pro? Thank you ATI!

I don't like it. :frown:

It could be because I'm actually an adult? This might appeal to the youth of today which is being deemed as the most wretched generation in hundreds of years - the whole "gangtsa yo yo yo vilentsexfilthanddrugs" thing just doesn't work for me.

Worse, it's promoting the lifestyle as well as appealing to it. I would NOT buy my children one as a matter of principle.
I thought the previous flash page with "gang boy" with his spray can and slut with her pants open and heaving chest was bad enough....
(Though I did get a chuckle from the FX fan during "blows".)

people are certainly insulting visiontek's use of seemingly unappropriate register while failing to notice the sheer ingenious behind it all. examples are plentiful.
1. "WILL BLOW YOU? AWAY!" - not only do you see the vocative case, but the excitement is further built by the three dots proceeded by "AWAY". additionally, note that all words are in capitals for emphasis. the statement is oozing with excitement, energy, and volcanically orgasmic tension.

2. "righteous performance in your more demanding sit-e?ations" - look at the spelling of "sit-e'ations". utter mastery of natural language doth thou author have.

3. "FREAK?N AWESOME lighting effects" - "F*CKING BAD ASS lighting effects" isn't as figuratively compelling. and that fact was obviously considered when the statement was cunningly crafted. and the list goes on...it is with honesty when i say that ad is one bad ass trizack mofo - aiiiight. (no jokes, really).
