While it's kinda cool in some wierd way, I have a hard time taking a company seriously when their site looks like it was written by some gansta rapper.

Well look at all the attention it gets them. And from the exact demographic they're aiming for.

my friend kept on telling me that visiontek's anti NV 30 flas animation was a joke but lord and behold Visiontek is back and this time they are ATI partners. Wow I cant believe Nvidia's share hasnt been hurt all that much. They have been losing partners to ATI as well as benchmarks. Who will be the next Nvidia partner to go ATI?

They forgot to head it with:

****** Attention all Teenie-Boppers ********

(but they are targeting the right audience... can an ad be Lame and Brilliant in one stroke?)

Isn't it too obvious . . . they are aiming their ads at hardcore gamers.

😛

:Q

😀

EDIT: They should have also mentioned that it is a solid card. 😉

As amusing as this is, it's not a very professional and may hurt Visiontek in the future in terms of investment backing and image. The company still needs to project a level maturity in order to procure those distribution contracts and to gain trust of competency. Also, being in IT, it's not good to publicly burn any bridges even if you hate your previous partners.

i wonder if visiontek is even really around... someone could just bought the domain and start fooling u guys with this gansta rap stuff. that would be funny

I mean who wouldnt want to buy a "Freak?n KICK ASS video card with BITCH?N Visual Effects"? Geeze, something is seriously wrong with that ad.
:frown:

EDIT: I sent them a message complaining about their "advertising".

EDIT2: That is just plain sick, they will really harm their image.

Indeed it would be. I noticed the 9000 has the same "B****'*" graphics the 9500 does.

HAHA! Look at the news, apparently they were bankrupt and are trying to win over some loud-mouth gamers...

Maybe it's just me, but no matter why I buy stuff(that is, if it's for my gaming pleasures or for a new webserver at work), I still want a good solid company behind the product I buy.
And Visiontek's site isn't exactly very confidence inspiring, looks like it's run by a bunch of teenage Eminem fans or something.

That would make me steer clear of them for now. I'd feel much better getiing a gigabyte, MSI, Abit, or Asus card...'cause chances are they will be around and working (if lacking technical support faculties) in a few years. Then again, we didn't know visiontek was having trouble until they were almost gone.

I see Visiontek is hiring some high school ganstas to handle their marketing. I don't see how they are going to get retail stores to purchase their graphic cards with a website like theirs.

Most of the officers from Visiontek formed BFGBFG. Visiontek was then purchased by another company. Visiontek is mad because supposedly NVIDIA was helping some of Visiontek's employees start up BFG while some of these people were still employed for Visiontek (during the time they went bankrupt).

Amusing but not very professional. I get the feeling Visiontek won't be around much longer if they continue in this direction.

Sweet!! more "quality products" from a "top notch" company!!

That's cool that they try to be funny/cool with their descriptions of their products but come on...
