If your trying to keep your AGP motherboard alive and want to update your video card, BestBuy has the Visiontek HD 2600 Pro 512megs AGP on closeout for $59.99. Plus if you use the coupon below about 4 listings below you get either an addition 10% off or if your a rewards card holder another 12%. I also believe but don't quote me I'm almost sure they had a PCIe card for the same price on closeout. Its not on the shelf with the others. I had to ask for it. I checked online and it shows it as $89, and it told me if it was available for store pickup. When I got there it was $59.99. Their item number is 8358813. My final price out the door after coupon $57.23

Got this about 2 months back at Best Buy for $26.99. Was a 2 day sale, but I think it was a price mistake. 10% coupon worked on top of it also. 🙂

Would this work similar to a 7600 GT in World of Warcraft? I just bought one of those to replace my 6800 that died until I could afford to upgrade the rest of my computer and this is much cheaper, I could just return the 7600 GT if so.

Yes this is very competitive to the 7600. Very close in ratings. I was just playing COD 4 with the new card and it rocks. Graphics are excellent.

I got the AGP Model. Put it into my old machine and it is running fine. They also had the 2500 256MB model for $39.99.

I am using this in an old P4 2.0ghz XP Machine i just received as a freebie. I tried to play a HD movie and I got some studdering. I think maybe I need to update codecs or something. The machine does only have 256RAM in it, i bought more on Ebay yesterday.... takes Rambus!

Good purchase though..... I bought the last one in the Mooresville, NC store.

ummmm.... Ati Video In Video Out... all that avivo means it has is basic video capture built into it.

nothing to do with playback in any way shape or form.

his problem is going to be codecs and the fact that he NEEDS more ram.

Rambus, dang. More memory, yessss. This card should oddload most of the processing of the hd stream though.

Not exactly, ATI uses the term "AVIVO" to reference their video decoding engine, like Purevideo is to Nvidia.

Yea the memory is coming. I just got this PC for free, so I am not complaining now. Memory should be in by the end of this week. I will play around with it more when that happens. Just too slow to run anything right now. Thanks for the info though.
