how do you overclock it?
 
Agree. I got one of these from Lynn Computer Products for $55 but shippng was $12.50.

It's running at 220/360 in my son's computer without a problem.

Overclocking is a breeze with a nifty little program called NVMax.

The program, however, is being updated and the new version won't be available for a while, later in December, the 18th if I remember correctly.

either use coolbit or whatever...
Or I can sent you the Mod BIOS of the speed of your choice. say....200/360 or whatever you prefer as well as if you want to have sideband enable and change the video card's name to "MY GTS". 🙂
 
I bought one of these a year ago at a much higher price. I have to RMA the durn thing about six months or so as th fan burns out on it. It's got a three year warranty though...
As far as OCing it: no extra programs are needed, just goto display properties, settings, advanced, then tab to the Geforce2GTS Menu and click on the Advanced Properties Buton. Now tab to the clock Frequencies page and click on the Allow frequency adjustments and follow directions from there...YMMV

Sold my G-Force 2 32MB DDR card on Eday and went with the ATI RADEON LE which is now $62 at newegg. With a few tweaks it out perfomed the G-Force.

Just to clerify the GTS-v wasn't out a year ago, and VisionTek are the only ones who make, so it has a lifetime warranty. 🙂

If you look on Nvidia's website under GF2's

You have GTS...then Pro...and then Ultra (and Ti) being the fastest.

And on Pricewatch you can get a 32meg Ti GF2 for $80 or less...being the fastest GF2...

So a 32meg GTS (being the slowest) for $70...is an OK price.

Yes, when you use price watch for the above card you do find some cards for the $80 price range. Here's a link to Directron.com, the first dealer on the low price list who I have had good experience with:

they have a Chaintech nVIDIA GeForce2 Ti, 4X, 32MB DDR AGP Video Card for $82.00 plus $4-$12 for shipping (per webpage).
Chaintech from what I've read are good reliable card producers. Some of the other cards on the pricewatch list are generic or no-names, I wouldn't risk buying one of them.
I bought the Visiontek card already, needed it for an extra pc I'm building that didn't need to be a top of the line performer. This was a good price/performance balance for me. If this was my primary machine I would have been looking at GeForce 3's.

Also, from my understanding the crippled MX series of GeForce cards are actually the slowest. They do not use DDR memory and so are bandwith limited in actual speed.
