My problem with the card is no real substantial benches for DX10. Additionally, many of the console ports are been handled by Nvidia. ::shrug:: I'll be happy folding with the two x1900s I have in the two systems (when I get one of them - still waiting) until I have a substantial reason to go with one of these cards. I'd also prefer a 65n chip if possible, so...

Yea it will be nice to get away from the Nvidia driver issues.
I had 2 8800GTS's and contrary to what the experts here claimed it was not a power issue or a motherboard issue but hmmmmm a Nvidia driver issue! Amazing isn't it Mr computer engineers. Looks like a little more schooling is in order. LOL

It's a good deal in that it's pretty cheap compared to everywhere else; it's just unfortunate that the actual interest in the card itself is so low. The thing holding me back is power - I just can't get over how much more power this thing requires over a 8800 GTS.

Zero confirmation anywhere that the 1GB cards will have a faster core, just more memory.

There's at least one site showing a 1GB HD2900XT running at 825/2100. We'll have to wait and see if that's the normal speed for all 1GB models or if this is a factory OC model.
