BestBuy has the Visioneer PrimaScan Colorado Flatbed Scanner, model 2400P for:

$59.99 - $30.00 "Rebate" - $30.00 "Mail-In-Rebate" = $-0.01

The only caveat that I can see is that this is a parallel port scanner, not USB. However, for -$.01, it can't be so bad, can it? Anyone know if this is a good scanner or not? I don't know much about Visioneer. Also, BestBuy seems to be advertising that there are TWO combinable $30 Rebates (each has a different Name, different Address at the rebate fulfillment center, etc), but each says it requires "original UPC"... any thoughts on this?

Here are the vital links:

both rebates say original upc from box, if it would work out it's not a bad scanner- especially for free!!

I think you can only send one of those..
One is going to expire in 12/2, I think they list the other one to 'extend' the first one. I doubt you can send in both.

Actually on the page that displays the scanner says "$30.00, $30.00" and says rebate(s). Might be possible to send in both.

Yeah, but even a free parallel scanner might be more hassle than it's worth....especially if you might end up only getting one rebate filled. Also, some places will forfeit both rebates if you try and submit two of the same....you could end up paying $60 for a "Free" scanner you didn't really want. Now if it were like an OfficeMax instant rebate deal I might go for it...

:(

I'm in a grumpy mood...nothing personal.

I asked a bestbuy guy, he said only one rebate we can apply since both form need the original upc code.:(
