Thanks rycelover--I just did too.

It's a nice scanner and it also comes with great software: Paperport with Textbridge OCR and Photoshop 5.0 Light Edition.

It only took a day for my order to arrive.

I got this scanner a few weeks ago at Staples. I find the scans to be fine, but there are so many other things I really like about this scanner. Like the basic design ( lid opens from the opposite direction from almost every other scanner I've seen) works much better than most when it is placed on a desk. The software included is very good. Paperport is highly rated. After using it, I understand why. And the OCR software is supposed to be very good also. All those buttons on the outside are excellent. Infinite number of ways you can configure all those buttons. I really like this scanner.

Timing is everything! I impetuously sold my UMAX 3400 a couple of days so I'm in the market for a new scanner. I got interested in the Visioneer line, in part because their lids are hinged on the long side rather than a short end. (Like JimmyBoy said, that arrangement works a lot better for most work areas, including mine.

Anyway, I qualified for the $25 discount, even though it wasn't my first online order from OfficeMax. ;) They'll deliver the scanner tomorrow (the 24th) and the $30 rebate period expores on the 26th. I'll be in just under the wire! :D

is this one XP compliant? I have the 7600 U, and it works in XP, but they don't have drivers specifically for it.

I called OM and had them PM with buy.com for $109. Then use the $25 off, add to that the $30 rebate. Comes to ~60 w/ tax...shipped free.

eyez...how'd you get around the $30 next (one) day shipping charge from buy.com on the pricematch? OM asks you to add the one day shipping charge to the price match. I tried to price match using OM's online PM form and I don't see any way around it.
