Visioneer 8600 Scanner for $ 79.99 at Circuit City Misprint Hurry

This Sunday's circular has the Visioneer 8600 scanner for $ 79.99. This is a misprint apparently. I was the first into the CC here in Houston today and the manager had to hand enter it into the computer since the selling price came up as $ 169.00.

I'd pricematch at Office Depot if your local CC is out or won't honor.

I can't believe a "platinum member" can't do a quick search.

It's a 600x1200 optical scanner.

I would personally go for the Epson Perfection 636U for $80 or the 1200U for $140

The 636U is a 600x2400 optical...has the best balance of all scanner uses. Look for reviews at reviewfinder.com.

Yeah the 1200U would be nice. Too bad Buy.com hasen't shipped my order for one, they might not ever, since they are going to the 1240U I think. I have a $30 rebate for the 1200U along with the buy.com rebate that'd make it $ 112.00 delivered. I'll use the 8600 till it comes if not then no matter, I'll keep the 8600.

I got a price match on this @ Staples...

Circut City rung up the wrong scanner & then refused to honor their price.

Gonna have to quit saying Staples is Suck.

All Circuit City computer employees got an e-mail Sunday morning informing them of the misprint. If they were good employees there should have been notices posted up in the store before the store even opened. There is no way CC will honor the price since it's $169.99 in the computer. Good luck price-matching.

I guess I'm lucky to have found the bad employee. I planned on a PM at OD if it didn't work. But I got there at opening and no one argued and they let me have it for $ 79.99. YEEEEEEEEEEEEHA
