visio help!!

i'm trying to make a visio network diagram. every time i add a shape it puts a stupid label under the picture that says "IBM Compatible" or "Computer" or something stupid. And it's locked so I can't remove it

WTF?

How do you remove this crap? I've searched everywhere. BTW it is visio 2000

Not sure if this will work but here's my experience with Visio 2002. Even if it's locked, you can still double-click the label and edit it but not sure how that works with Visio 2000. Can you unlock the item?

Right Click --> properties --> Equipment tab.

Change the PRODUCT DESCRIPTION label.

i dont get any tabs when i click properties. it's the 2002 version. god dammit i hate this program.

what do you get when you click properties?
i get NETWORK SHAPE PROPERTIES with 3 tabs.


try this way:

from the TOOLBAR. choose SHAPE-->Custom Properties --> Product Description.
