between visa and mastercard, it doesn't really matter, both are very widely accepted. Visa tends to have better benefits and protection though, might want to research into a rewards program card of some sort.

If you're over 18, go with a secured card if you can't get your parents to cosign a real credit card. Visa Buxx type cards are useless. They don't help your credit whatsoever, and for what they do, a check card is just as good and costs less. Wells Fargo has a secured Visa that can be opened with $300 deposit, $18 annual fee, and I believe they guarantee you graduation to an unsecured card after 1 year if you follow certain simple steps (have credit score of 600 after one year, never go over limit, always pay on time, etc).

Problem is..im not over 18:brokenheart: I dont wont a credit line for the future years right now. Partying, gas(when i get my car), newegg, eatting out with friends like at taco bell. I only want a limited card to stop asking my parents can i use there card because pretty much if i order from newegg theres no way i could ever order something thats over $60 dollars and its hard to order the stuff i already got in my computer.

/edit: "The maximum cash back transaction cannot exceed $50.00." Does that mean i cant order a $70 stick of ram off newegg or something else?

It should be pretty easy to convince a bank to give you a no minimum balance no fee checking account with a check card.

Cheaper than a Visa Buxx, easier to "reload" than a Visa Buxx, same restrictions on spending (can't spend more than your account balance).

They're probably referring to getting more than $50 cash back when you use the "debit" function at a store. It does not mean the card will not authorize charges more than $50.

A Visa Buxx should let you make a purchase all the way up to the amount it is loaded with.

As far as there being other Visa Buxx type products, different banks issue Visa Buxx cards, but no, I don't think there is a Mastercard equivalent. American Express has Amex gift cards.........

Of those three...............I'd recommend the Visa Buxx..............because I've never heard of the other two................and Visa is a huge brand with worldwide acceptance.........and yeah. If you're gonna get this type of thing, get a Visa Buxx.
