Virus Writing Help (READ FIRST)

Hey, I remember reading about a corse which some university in the states was offering for virus writing, I was wondering if there were any free tutorials or lessons available on the net that you could recommend. I've already done some simple programming with C++ (still learning).

Please keep in mind that I want to learn to write viruses for security reasons, to better understand what I'm dealing with when protecting my systems. Furthermore I'd like to know if anyone has some readily available software which can purge .exe files into source so as to look what a virus looks like.

This is solely for educational purposes, I am not planning on infecting anything but my own test machine with the viruses I write. I just need some "backdoor" knoledge on viruses so as to better protect myself against them.

Thanks,

Akseli

You won't find tutorials for writing malicious code. It just leaves the author too vulnerable to prosecution.
Your best best is to look around for some source files to read & try to understand.

http://dc2600.com/ is a place to start.

You don't need to know much (anything, really) about virus writing to be able to protect yourself against them.

And you can't "purge" an executable into source, at least not the kind of source that's going to teach you how to write a virus.

edit: i am officially a loser now! :Q :Q :Q

I have never created or messed with a virus, but I would think it would require that you know how to spell.

Look, really, flaming people for spelling is all you can do, feel free to ignore my posts from now on, I have no interest in listening to you bable on about some typos.
