what is the best antivirus software
i really just need something to prevent internet related stuff since i never use the floppy or a cd from anyone else
and do i reallly need it if i have a firewall such as the dlink di-713-p

there is a free anti virus scanner which is really good. Its called pc-chillin and it scans your computer online so you dont have to install any software. Its great.

Yes you do need it if you receive emails (where most virus comes from). A firewall will not prevent a virus from trashing your computer. A very good (and free) program is AVG by Grisoft.

Agreed. I've been using it for a few months now and really like it.
