Somehow I got the js_exceptions.g. My virus program found it but cannot remove it because it resides in the registery. The directions that I have from Trend Micro seems to be for a different edition of windows. I am running 98 SE. None of the stuff that I have to change is not even in the registery. Is there somewhere else I can find the info that I need?

What does this mean?? It found the (Virus)? Identified it.
The js_exception.g looks like it does the same thing except it just changes the start page for IE. It would make no difference except it kicks up some Porn site in Europe somewhere.

If you want to plug your employers stuff tell me how to get rid of this stuff. My Symantec did not even find it.

Im checking with the Response group to see what they have. Did you install the patch referenced in the write I mentioned earlier?

Yep sure did. My search on semantec site does not show this (virus) If you type it into a search engine the only site that comes up with info on it is Trend Micro and some chinese site.

Not sure how to clean it, but once you do be you need to go to the Microsoft update area and download the security patches for Internet Explorer (assuming you use IE).

Pretty sure that this hole has been plugged in the latest updates.
 
AVG just had an update, you could try that. I dont know how it will interact with symantec tho.
