Norton Anti-Virus detects there is a change in my MBR (master boot record) and asks if I want to restore it back. I'm not sure if that is effected by virus. But what if I restore the MBR with Norton AV but causing data loss, would I be able to restore it back again?

Please help

Sorry, I cant help you with this because I am afraid my advice might cause you harm.

I can only tell you that once you are out of this pickle, buy or get yourself a copy of "GOBACK" and then, when this problem comes up, you can use goback and goback will fix it for you!!!

You could always back up all your data first and then let Norton put your old mbr back the way it was. That way you are safe.

thank you
