Virus found--system restore folder

It is probably some kind of malware, spyware, ect. but AVG keeps on finding a virus in the system restore folder, and keeps saying that running AVG is needed ,but then it never refinds it.
I tried to follow the path to try and manually remove it,but the restore folder is protected...any ideas??

1. Uninstall AVG and install/update the freeware Antivir (AVG has 69% detection rate versus Antivirs 85%+ detection rate, plus antivir does not require a key to install or run)
2. Boot to safe mode
3. disable system restore
4. Run a full system scan with antivir and remove anything it finds
5. Reenable system restore and create a new restore point.
