so my gf found a virus on her pc, and when AVG ran, it detected, but says it cannot be deleted.

the location is
C:\documents and setting\Anna Luu\Local setting\TEMPSE.DLL

I dont know why AVG couldn't delete it....but can she just manually go there, find the file, and delete the file?

is it safe?

With some virii the problem lies with System Restore.

In many instances you need to turn off System Restore and then run the scan again and it should get rid of it.

Naturally, you will lose your system restore points.

Being completely honest I have never found one instance where System Restore actually worked for me, so I have it turned off as default nowadays.

she can just go to safe mode and manually delete the file. Then boot her pc regularly and see if the antivirus can find it again.
