Virtualization with ASUS IPIBL-LB HP/Benicia-GL8E BIOS Flash

I just bought an HP Pavilion Elite m9520f before I got it I checked a m9500f or m9510f if the bios has the virtualization option and it did....


Well mine doesn't I updated the BIOS to 5.32 and it still doesn't have it

HP tech support has screen shots of version 5.03 and he says it has it but the guy says HP doesn't keep previous versions... does anyone know where to locate this version?

There is a newer version:

I checked for a couple older versions but HP deleted them from its FTP server. The processor must also support virtualization.

Yeah. Assuming you are referring to "VT" extensions, make sure that your CPU supports them, too. It's possible they wouldn't show up in the BIOS if the CPU doesn't offer it. If it's a Q8300 processor, that one doesn't appear to support VT.

Thank you tscenter and RebateMontger. The last was the answer, I got my hands on a Q9300 ($270) and the feature showed up in the bios. Now I have to put the Q8300 on ebay hopefully I'll get a $100 for it. Thanks again.
