Been a longtime VirtualBox user.
That said, I never start using a fresh branch (4.x.0) if I can help it. Usually takes a couple of releases to mature.

I installed it right away. I like the visual changes, but that's all I can comment on 😀 The program always worked for me without any problems (but I really only test some W7 images in it, so...).

VMware has commercial support, so it gets updated often & has a lot of features. I like VMware better than both Virtualbox & Parallels, although I do use Virtualbox from time to time for quick tests and stuff.
