Virtual Visa?

Just like the topic says, I'm doing some online purchasing and don't want to hand out my real credit card number.

I was wondering who offers prepaid virtual visas?

If you got Citi credit card you can get virtual numbers to use. I think Amex does that too but not sure.

I don't think Visa or Discover do this...

Actually, I know that Discover *does* do this... it's on their website.

Not sure about VISA, though. I think that some of the banks do.

You can always use Paypal's virtual debit card system. It's still Mastercard, though. You also have to add money to your Paypal account before using the virtual card, because it doesn't have a way to take money from your checking account or normal credit card like you'd usually be able to do.

Hmm maybe I should look into Discover's...I use my mom's CC all the time to order things online (I can't get my own yet).

MBNA offers virtual 1-time use credit card numbers, but they arent prepaid. they are charged as you use them
