I would like to know if it's possible to have a virtual directory link on a CD/DVD, because I'm burning a game compilation CD (legally, for my own use) and in order to function with a pertial install there have to be directories in rood (named CD1 etc) but those also have to be available in the subdir from where I install, so I need to make one of the two a virtual link to the other.. I do not know if this is possible in windows without really altering the TOC directly ...

This probably isn't exactly what you are asking, but make images of the software + demon tools + burn to DVD = multiple games, 1 DVD... :)

not really, I'm making no images, I'm making full install DVD's so I do not have to mount it, I only need to use a noCD then (because the DVD obveously is not the official disc)

fyi I'm talking about Icewind Dale 1 and Icewind dale 2 (+their expansion packs and bonus disc) originally it's 7 discs (bought the "ultimate collection" pack) and it can be brought back to one DVD and still hold an image of fallout 1

(me = infinity engine game collector)

but I can also edit the .ini files of those games when I want, and full installs always work (because the cd# dirs get copied to HD and they're in the install dir)
