Didn't someone make an adapter so you can plug an NES controller up to the Wii? I would much rather do that than invest in the Classic Controller.

invest in a wavebird and be able to play EVERYTHING but Wii games on it.

I have a ton of Cube controllers and Wavebirds, but I got the CC for Street Fighter and Contra 3. The Cubes D pad is in a totally sucky place for those games.

These games should be no more than 300 points at the max.

800 points per game is simply rediculous

How much development time do these ports actually require? Considering how many roms there are out there for windows and handhelds, you'd think that nintendo could put them out rapidly.

For the love of ...

Release Super Mario World and Chrono Trigger already.

- M4H

I'm playing SMW on my GBA Micro. :p

SMA2 + GBMicro = the pinnacle of pocket-sized fun. :)

- M4H

the GBAmicro is just to damned small. i had a chance to get one for $20.

but iu got a GBA and a DS (want a DS lite also!)

Have you ever played a Micro? I thought it was going to be uncomfortable, but I find it better than the SP. I'm 6'4" and have pretty big hands, and it's not bad at all. The buttons are WAY bigger than the SP, and while the screen is a bit smaller, it's brighter.

And I imagine it's devoid of online multiplayer? Nintendo is wasting their VC. Look at the classic titles on Live Arcade. They are all scaled to HD, some of ehanced graphics, they have achievements added, leaderboard, and multiplayer games (e.g. Gauntlet, SFII) have online multiplayer. So even if you own, or did own, the game at some point in the past you still feel like you are getting something for you money.

Now look Nintendo's VC. Take a game like LttP. Great game, no doubt about it... but I already paid for the game twice. Once on the SNES and once on the GBA. With the GBA I was paying for portability. What am I paying for on the Wii? Maybe if I hadn't played the game before it might be worth it, but I can't justify paying the prices Nintendo wants for games that are 15-20 years old and that have absolutely no enhancements over their original incarnations.

Is online multiplayer too difficult? OK, at least throw some leaderboards on there or maybe the ability to upload/download ghost racer information for a game like MK64. DO ANYTHING, PLEASE!! I've got zero incentive to pony up for anything on the VC since I've played virtually all the games available before.

i agree. they need to get their act together with online MP. I mean even the wii games don't have online MP yet for fvck's sake.

the only reasons i am buying VC games now, of which i have 3 (i think m64 was a total waste, it sucks beyond anything else. would have been better off with the original SMB)
are because they might be good 2 player games (on same tv of course) or i haven't played them before (but i can always use emulators for that and not have to pay out my ass either).

no new features to the old games is exactly why I am not going to buy even one of them. I've paid for and played these games many times already, I'm not going to pay $8 for a SNES game, come on now ...

I agree with THraxen ... they are completely wasting a HUGE opportunity here w/the virtual console.

I disagree. I want to buy the original games because I do not want any "enhancements", I want to enjoy that old-school experience without any bells and whistles. Most of the games I have played on Live Arcade have made me mad because the "enhancements" took away that classic game playing experience that I remember.

Maybe I am just old-school like that...

Everysingle Xbox Live Arcade game that I've played, which is a revamped classic, has a "classic" mode you can change to in the options. It takes out all of the enhancements that they have turned on by default.

Contra® III: The Alien Wars? (Super NES®, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points): In the year 2636, the Alien War continues, and it's up to two soldiers, Jimbo and Scully, to put a stop to the alien invasion.

BULLSH!T!!! WHERE IS MY ORIGINAL CONTRA?!?!? That's the only damn game I want. CONTRA @ 120" FTW!

Contra 3 is considered one of the finest games on the SNES. You, kind Sir, suck.

(I have the original cart and the VC version, Ninty owns me.)
