Mario Kart 64 coming next week. Another tempting selection. Hopefully the trend of releasing actual GOOD games people want to buy will continue!
And I imagine it's devoid of online multiplayer? Nintendo is wasting their VC. Look at the classic titles on Live Arcade. They are all scaled to HD, some of ehanced graphics, they have achievements added, leaderboard, and multiplayer games (e.g. Gauntlet, SFII) have online multiplayer. So even if you own, or did own, the game at some point in the past you still feel like you are getting something for you money.
Now look Nintendo's VC. Take a game like LttP. Great game, no doubt about it... but I already paid for the game twice. Once on the SNES and once on the GBA. With the GBA I was paying for portability. What am I paying for on the Wii? Maybe if I hadn't played the game before it might be worth it, but I can't justify paying the prices Nintendo wants for games that are 15-20 years old and that have absolutely no enhancements over their original incarnations.
Is online multiplayer too difficult? OK, at least throw some leaderboards on there or maybe the ability to upload/download ghost racer information for a game like MK64. DO ANYTHING, PLEASE!! I've got zero incentive to pony up for anything on the VC since I've played virtually all the games available before.
