does anybody remember this system? it was back in the day but i'm looking to buy one...any ideas of where i can find on for cheap? Thanks!

eBay or Craigslist? Not really sure where else you'd find one.

Part of me kind of wants to own a Virtual Boy because I have all of Nintendo's other handhelds and also because it was one of their biggest failures.

yea i was thinking ebay and craigslist but i was wondering if there were other places to get them...and biggest failure is right lol...

I actually bought one at a garage sale many years ago, but its still sitting in my garage now. I keep meaning to put it up for sale, but I never get around to it. PM me if you are interested in mine! 🙂

I had one before I sold off most of my extensive collection.
It was cool looking, but deserved the criticism it got and the impending failure.

I played one in a Walmart when it came out. Some kind of Wario game. It had a fucking monochrome display and I think it was doing some rudimentary 3D? Either way, it looked like a literal pain in the neck. I remember being disappointed immediately that it was monochrome and since it was a headset I was expecting some sort of first person VR experience.

One of my friends had one. I played the Wario game for a while. I was a cool game, but the colors and the way the screen was setup gave me a headache after a while. The red was way too intense when viewing the screen that closely.

I bought mine after it was discontinued for like $24.99 at WaldenSoftware back in the day. The Wario Land game was the only game I bought other than Mario's Tennis which was included. Wario Land was a AAA/5 star game, but I'm sure it was the only AAA VB game.

It didn't give me a headache, but it did give one of my friends a headache. I was 10, he was 12.

I still have one here somewhere. I only ever had mario tennis and boxing though. The stand also broke, so it was a pain to use.
