I don't know if you guys feel the same way but buying second hand componenets and overclocking them does not feel the same as buying new ones...

I really try not to buy anything "used" for myself or my girlfriend

I only bought a "returned" fountain for my cat, figured the cat doesn't care why should I and it was a difference of like 60 bucks between new and used.

I also have a stigma of buying from either outlet malls and or wholesale clubs with the exception of food. Outlet malls I will buy stuff from, just not gifts for my Girlfriend or high end items for myself, wholesale clubs I will only buy food and necessities, once I bought a mouse there and that was it.

In terms of computer components I will never buy anything used

I am sure if I had to buy used I would but that has never been an issue for me

some may say it is strange but it is the way that I am :)

Yeah. Taking the razor and cutting open that antistatic bag is a good thing. I don't normally buy used components unless I'm just trying to through something together as a side project or something. I do like that others buy them though (afterall after I get done with a video card or cpu it's nice to be able to get something out of it on FS/T rather than just putting it in the closet and never seeing it again).
