Virginians, the do not cold well

shortylickens

No Lifer
For some reason they wear shower shoes when its 30 degrees then cry about the cold.
They do not know what long underwear is.
They dont know they'll be warmer if they just stay inside instead of going out and smoking.

They also refuse to prepare their cars or their houses for the inevitable. And they dont leave 5 minutes early to warm up the vehicle, which they keep outside cuz the garage is full of sprinklers and kiddie pools.

You live in Northern Virginia which means you rarely encounter any actual Virginians.

im in VA right now, in Blacksburg and have no idea what the F you are talking about, everyone over here is fine

i sometimes wear a tshirt, pants and sandals when i go out in 20 degree weather. no big deal. never wore long or thermal underwear. never wear hats, earmuffs, or scarves. i use gloves occassionally.

Northern virginia is not virginia, should sell it to the feds so they could incorporate it into dc and rid ourselves of that moneysucking headache.

Sandals and socks in the winter....I love it.

???

I would love to see how much of the state tax revenue comes from Nova compared to the rest of VA. I do agree I would rather see Nova become part a of a bigger "DMV" state, then we wouldn't have to worry about the rest of the state voting for vaginal probes for women.

VA chose to take their side of the river back after giving it to the Federal for a while.
MD did not

Both decisions have shown to be smart.

VA gets the economic growth; MD lets DC hold onto the ghetto.

I once made the mistake of shoveling the snow in sandals.
There was only maybe 4 or 5 inches of snow fall, so I figured it would be a quick 15 minute shovel job.

Anyhow, my feet were quite cold. If I am going to wear sandals whilst shoveling snow again, I will be sure to wear socks, however, shoes or boots are clearly a better choice.

Also, good rule of thumb, wear long pants if the snow is higher than your shoes/boots. With shorts on, your legs might get a bit chilly. (Learned after shoveling about 20 inches of snow while wearing shorts)
