VT = Over-rated!

Nope, just proves that you can't have an offday in the ACC like you can in the Weak10...err Pac10 and get away with it...unless you are playing Duke of course.

and off day? lol. more like that's what happens when va tech actually has to play a good defense.

i dont think things like fumbling a snap into the endzone for a touchdown counts as "good defense" it counts as virginia tech playing ****** football.

oh but stuffing the run consistently and picking off vick almost as many times as he completed a pass had absolutely NOTHING to do with the loss, right? w/o the fumbled endzone snap va tech is still losing by 3 tds so that argument holds no water.

us losing by 3 touchdowns when we fumble has more to do with their offense then their defense. i think that vick throwing a picture perfect pass to miami, us fumbling the ball numerous times, and generally playing crappy offense has more to do with that game's outcome than miami's defense. disagree if you like, that's just my opinion.

it's easy to disagree when you're struggling to make valid points. vick doesn't throw passes right to miami's corners if the d-line isn't getting constant pressure on him for the entire 60 minutes. defense wins championships, offense doesn't lose them.

guess its my turn to say something...wait....i dont have anything to say about VTs performance. Miami showed up. Miami deserved to win.

We played like an overrated team.

GG Miami.

Its November again. VT starts to loose. History doesnt lie. heheehe.

Go hokies! All there is left to say.

*sigh* the best things about today were the hamburgers and beer. 🙁

Being an RA part of me is glad we lost tonight, my hall is quiet and sulky. Saves me from writing JRs all night and dealing with idiots passed out in the elevators.

which dorm? i can come liven things up.

Anyone who rooted for Miami to win this game, other than Miami grads, is a fanboi of the BCS. 🙂 All I want is another year where at least 2 teams end the season undefeated just like last year.

My coach always told me that defense wins games and offense sells tickets. In sports, that's the most valid thing I've ever heard. Todays games were all proof of that.

or people that live in miami or people that have family that go to miami or people that grew up as fans. it's not as if va tech was the only other undefeated team going in to today's games. bama and ucla were undefeated, too. we could still have 3 undefeated teams going into the bowls.

I would love to see one of the 3 undefeated teams to lose. All 3 are playing weak teams, especially Bama and Texas.
I would predict that USC loses if they play with Miami b/c of the defense. USC defense is horrible and their offense is average to good. Miami defense should kill USC offense.
I have been Miami's fan since 1988. I graduated there but now live in Orange County, CA and they don't show games from Miami locally here, except for that sloppy game vs. FSU.
The alumni programs are excellent at Miami. I would say the win had something to do with the pride that was brought back from those players graduated previous years.

this might be good for ACC, now that if Miami runs the table and wins the ACC championship, while VT wins the rest of the games, they could have two Teams in the BCS bowls.

if miami didn't play FSU as the first game, they probably would be undefeated.
If the Canes were better than Florida they'd be undefeated.

pwn3d.

And I'm glad VT got blown out. It just goes to show they've played NO ONE and don't even come close to deserving a number 3 ranking. What a hype machine, much unlike ND.

i assume you mean FSU, and i agree, at the time they weren't.
i think miami improved as season goes, to the point where they were good enough to play VT and beat them.

VT, i believe took this game lightly and didn't think Miami imporved that much since the first game.

HEY! Notre Dame already has ONE win versus a team with a winning record.

yeah i swear boston college, west virginia, and georgia tech didnt have some of the top ranked defenses retard.

miami will win out... go to the acc championship game and avenge their loss to fsu..

everybody knows alabama will lose a game (they only have ONE offensive TD in the last 13 quarters of play)...

so if either usc or texas lose a game, miami will be in the NC game against the sole undefeated team...

go CANES.. i love it when we're underdogs...

Is this the same everyone that said that there was no way Alabama was going to beat Miami in the '93 Sugar Bowl?

Wow, you are kidding right?

Why would VT take Miami, who was ranked in the top 10, with one loss, to FSU at the beginning of the year, lightly.

It had nothing to do with them underestimating Miami, but everything to do with Vick losing the ball 6 times (maybe less, I forgot the exact number).
