That's not the REAL BCS. The BCS hasn't even been released yet.

Anyway, consider this. Bowling Green is ranked 22nd. Before Tennessee, Florida, Washington, Wisconsin. That's mildly amusing to say the least.

It doesn't matter anyways, Miami is going to destroy Va Tech. Miami already had their bad game of the season against FSU, they will be out for blood against Va Tech.

Why not the top 32 teams? Picking the top 8 would be difficult and wouldn't be very fair. It will never happen though.

Virginia Tech is a fraud. Miami is going to expose them, badly. They are a good team, but have been over-rated every year since they played FSU for the title. They are top 15, but not top 5.
Just goes to show how getting a little respect helps you out in the polls.

They say the BCS doesn't take margin of victory into account for their rankings, but in a way, it does. The BCS uses an average of all the ranking services. The AP poll, particularly, will punish a team if they barely beat someone people think they should have killed.

That is DEAD on. The AP is the only poll I pay attention to. Look at NC State. They have BARELY won a lot of games including Duke(24-22) this weekend but are considered top 10? Give me a break. They haven't play ANYONE. ESPN/Coaches ranks NC State at like 7th while AP ranks them at around 14th which is more realistic.

only the top 5 teams have a good shot at winning. 8 should be sufficient. 8 is only 3 games too. another 5 games tacked onto the schedule would be too long.

my roommate brought this up last night... if the computer polls can't use margin of victory explicitly then what are they? strength of schedule? that seems to be what most of them are left with. so then you've got strength of schedule double counted. of course, the wire polls don't look rational either... you get two closely ranked teams playing each other the poll predicts a close game... when you get that the polls drop whoever loses 5 or 6 places, which is ridiculous! the previous poll was right!

Sooners being #1 is a fvcking joke. Miami, should be #1. The Big 12 is so overrated this year.

woohoo...LSU #9

they win out, florida state beats ND, Michigan beats OSU, OU loses Big 12 championship, and LSU plays VT-Miami winner for title. :p

very far fetched, I know, but I'm very pleased with the way the Tigers are playing right now.

My school, my team, the U. of Miami Hurricanes, WILL CRUSH every single team and go undefeated this year to claim the title. Period. We will not be denied. Hehe.

Whatever. Either Virgina tech or miami will win then get to play Oklahoma. It always works itself out. Except for BYU in 84' lol who never played anyone ranked top 20.

Yeah there is no question in my mind that VT is way overranked. My school (Texas A&M) played em and they definately had nothing special. Defense was pretty good but the offense didnt show me much. We played like utter and total Sh$t and they didnt beat us by much.
