No he lost it the second all the economic issues became the story. The MSM has put every single problem on McCain. It is the RNCs fault they had plenty of tape to make ads showing it was the democrats who ignored warnings about freddie and fannie. They ignored it now the presidental race is over.

stop trying to blame this on democrats blocking some bill in 2006, by then the damage was done. Action needed to be taken in 2003-2004, if not earlier.

They will just ignore all that because the democratic party can do no wrong. Most of them love this because it will help get thier guy elected. They don't care about people losing jobs or money they just want Obama elected at any cost.

There are 4 weeks till the election so it is possible that McCain can still turn things around. It is almost certain that things will get tighter. Although I am not sure if McCain CAN pull off a victory.

I also think the most important number to look at in these polls is not the margin between the two, but the top number and whether it is over 50%. Despite McCain having the two worst weeks possible Obama is still barely getting to 50%. That implies that there is still a chance for McCain to climb back into the race, if he does it right.

Come one it is time to face reality this election is over. It is time to start to prepare for a very hard 4 years of jimmy carter part 2. I am starting to look for a second job to get a nest egg to ride out 4 years of Obama/Pelosi.

3/5 of the national polls released today on RCP have Obama at 53, 50, 52. The two relevant Virginia polls (there are two recent ones and the rest are fairly old) have him at 53 and 51. Now if you're knocking Obama because he can't break 60 I'll let you make that argument, otherwise what you're saying doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Jay-Z held a free concert for Barack in swing-state Florida this past Sunday. He's got Hollywood teen celebrities like Adam Brody and Kal Penn drawing crowds at college campuses for registration drives.

We're witnessing the most complete, most dominating political machine I've seen in recent memory. It's a thing of beauty to watch him pull away in the polls as McCain's campaign is on life support.

interesting disparity in the Virginia numbers.. I generally trust Rasmussen but that seems odd to have two outliers in one day coming out of there. Then again the Coleman/Franken debacle made me lose a lot of faith in state polling.
