Virginia: Burger King-Any 2 Value Meals for $5

Don't know if it is national or not, but here in SE Virginia Burger King is running a Value Meal promo. ANY TWO Value Meals for $5! 😀
 
If that includes things like the Double Whopper value meals, then
that is HOT HOT HOT.

I just traveled to England, by the way, and there are Burger
Kings (and McDonalds) all over the place there...and the prices
are basically IDENTICAL to the prices in the US, except they
are in UK pounds (which == $1.50 US)!

Kwad you traveled in England and could not find anywhere better to eat than McDonalds and BK? Just kidding? The VAT on your food purchases quickly removes any "value" from a value meal.

A statement like that makes ya wonder why the FDA or local health departments haven't closed them all down! [Must be that "Military-Industrial Complex thing again. 😉 ]

If you eat ANYTHING, ANYWHERE, unless you grew it, slaughtered it, and cooked it yourself, you do NOT know if you are eating "dirty food" or not. Such gratuitous nonsemse serves no purpose.

I didn't say I *ATE* at those McDs and BKs in the UK...But they
were on almost every corner. (Man, talk about Americanized...check
out Picadilly Square, which is home to just about every american
chain store and fast food chain on the planet!)

OK, I will admit I at at BK one night (it was late, and I wasn't
in the mood to track down something better). I ate lunch at KFC
one day (BIG mistake--even worse than KFC in the US). And I took
my daughter to McDs so she could get a Happy Meal with a Monsters Inc
toy in it...But it seems almost criminal to eat at these places
when there are so many good curry houses around...

Yeah...the VAT. The hidden killer. I can't understand why these places
are so popular over here, though, given the prices (and the overall
lower salaries in the UK vs. the US for the same job).

this is pretty hot considering some of the value meals in the city are usually around $5.
